BURLESQUE

Il tormentone del momento, non si sente parlare d'altro! E affascina uomini, donne, giovani! Tutti infatti si affrettano ad iscriversi nelle scuole di Burlesque per prendere corsi di seduzione, ma non solo. Il Burlesque infatti é un modo per accettare il proprio corpo, per piacersi. I difetti non debilitano la persona ma la valorizzano! Il gioco sta nel fare dell'ironia su se stessi e presentarsi non solo in modo seducente, ma anche simpatico e sicuro di sé! Il 18 e il 19 Febbraio infatti, in Via Tortona 35 a Milano, si è tenuto il primo festival internazionale di Burlesque in Italia. Hanno partecipato venti artiste da tutto il mondo. Lottavano per aggiudicarsi i premi: Best Performer, First Runner Up, Most Comic Act. La vincitrice si aggiudicava il titolo e una splendida tiara di Tarina Tarantino. Aprite gli occhi, guardatevi intorno, informatevi sui corsi più vicini di Burlesque perché non ha né età, né misura e fa soltanto bene! =)

The coolest thing of the moment, the only thing everyone talks about! And it fascinates men, women, young people! In fact everyone rushes to join in schools of Burlesque to take courses of seduction, but not only. Burlesque is a way to accept your body, to like it. Defects do not weaken the person but enhance it! The game is to do irony and present yourself not only in a seductive way, but also friendly and confident! On the 18 and the 19 of February, in Milan, was held the first international festival of Burlesque in Italy. Twenty artists from all around the world participated. They struggled to win the prizes: Best Performer, First Runner Up, Most Comic Act. The winner got the title and a gorgeous tiara by Tarina Tarantino. Open your eyes, look around, take an interest in Burlesque because it has no age, no size and it is healthy! =)

Il canadese Erdem Moralioglu dopo aver fatto il master al London Royal College of Art nel 2003 e finita la collaborazione con Diane von Furstenberg a New York ha lanciato il suo marchio a Londra. E' già noto nel mondo della moda e apprezzato da molte stelle del cinema come Keira Knightley e Sienna Miller. La sua particolarità sta nell'accostare stampe differenti e nell'abbellire le sue creazioni con ricami che le rendono uniche. Presentiamo qui la sua collezione PRE SPRING 2011, caratterizzata da ricami e stampe multicolor e barocche che vanno però a costituire abiti dal taglio futuristico. 

The Canadian Erdem Moralioglu received his master degree from the London Royal College of Art in 2003. After  working with Diane von Furstenberg in New York he launched his own label in London. He is already known in the fashion world and among movie stars as Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller. His uniqueness consists in putting together different prints and in embellishing its creations with embroideries. We here present his PRE SPRING 2011 collection, characterized by embroideries and multicolored baroque prints that, however, complete futuristic dresses.

I jeans: uno tra i capi pilastro del nostro guardaroba, adattabile a ogni occasione grazie alla varietà di colori e modelli. E' strano pensare che questo capo, che noi oggi indossiamo ogni giorno, sia stato una vera rivoluzione nel mondo della moda! I jeans, infatti, erano sempre stati catalogati come indumento da lavoro ed è soltanto a partire dal 1950 che, grazie ai gruppi rock, si son diffusi tra i giovani come capo per il tempo libero. Sono quindi nati vari tipi di modelli e di colori, tagli a zampa, a sigaretta e skinny! Adesso hanno inventato anche i jeggings e la Levi's ha introdotto un nuovo metodo di misurazione. Non vengono infatti più misurati soltanto i fianchi e la lunghezza della gamba, ma anche le curve! Che possono essere: Slight, Demi, Bold o Supreme Curve. Ma un paio di jeans non sono un acquisto da sottovalutare, è infatti importante sceglierli bene perchè se non sono di buona qualità tendono a slargarsi e strapparsi!! UGG BOOTS!

Devo ammettere di essermi più volte chiesta, guardandomi allo specchio, che cosa mai ci trovassi di bello nelle scarpe amorfe che avevo ai piedi. Dopo averci pensato un po' ero arrivata alla conclusione che mi piacevano perché comode, facili da mettere ( soprattutto con leggings ) e perché adatte per ogni occasione vista la varietà di colori e materiali. Ma non avevo appreso appieno la loro funzionalità: una Domenica mattina sono arrivata ad adorarle! Essendo infatti tornata dalle vacanze di Natale con 5 kg di Panettone che mi seguivano ovunque, avevo deciso di andare a correre al parco il Sabato mattina. Ma, non essendo una corritrice esperta, ignoravo il fatto che si debba sempre correre con scarpe di un numero in più! Risultato: già Sabato sera i miei piedi erano doloranti! Ma a denti stretti mi sono infilata i mega tacchi con cui dovevo andare a una festa in abito lungo. Dovevo metterli per forza se non volevo inciampare nel vestito! Domenica mattina...non riuscivo a camminare! Squadro la mia collezione di scarpe per trovarne un paio che non mi facciano urlare dal dolore soltanto nell'infilarle e, quando ormai sto per arrendermi, vedo i miei Ugg: larghi, comodi, morbidosi! Ed ecco che li infilo senza pensarci e corro giù per le scale convinta di correre sulle nuvole!!

I must admit that I often wondered, looking at myself in the mirror, what did I ever like in the amorphous shoes I was wearing. After thinking a bit about it, I had come to the conclusion that I liked them because comfortable, easy to wear ( especially with leggings ) and because suitable for any occasion given the variety of colors and materials. But I had not completely understood their qualities. A Sunday morning I began to worship them! In fact since I had returned from Christmas holidays with 5 kg of cakes following me everywhere, I had decided to go for a run to the park every Saturday morning. But, as I am not an expert runner, I had no idea that you always have to run with shoes one size bigger than usual! Consequence: Saturday evening my feet were already hurting! But with clenched teeth I wore the super heels I had to go to the long dress party with. I had to wear them if I did not want to trip over the dress! Sunday morning...I could not walk! I look at my shoe collection to find a pair that will not make me scream in pain by only wearing them and, when I am about to give up, I see my Ugg: large, comfortable, soft! And then I wear them on without thinking about it and run down the stairs as if I were running on clouds!
