Nato nel 1964 è diventato fotografo per puro caso. Il concetto di fotografia è cambiato negli ultimi anni, prima la bravura del fotografo stava nel cogliere l'attimo, ora invece gli scatti possono essere infiniti e soprattutto possono essere modificati con Photoshop. Per Miles Aldridge la foto scattata non è altro che uno sfondo sul quale, come un pittore, disegnare sopra; una figura da manipolare a posteriori per arrivare alla perfezione. Attraverso le sue foto vuole raccontare storie che per la loro bellezza e perfezione sembrano appartenere a un altro mondo.
